Golf. It’s such a quiet game. Everyone’s so still, so intently focused on that one little ball and where it goes. Some would even say it’s a tad dry, and that if were a beef roast they’d have to toss it out for the neighborhood hounds, but not us. Here, we love golf.  And we’re not the only ones.  The following PGA golf players are every bit as enthusiastic as are we, and perhaps more so.  After all, they’ve gone to a little trouble to throw together an outstanding golf ditty you might find entertaining.

You know, January 6th? If you are not sure what I am talking about, I have to admit I am a bit disappointed. This Friday marks the start of the 2012 season of PGA Tour golf.

For two years we all watched as golf’s elite player, Tiger Woods fail to win any match after his life and professional career was sent in a downward spiral.  He spent those years taking breaks after the car crash and other personal issues, and he would come back saying he felt ready.  Only, Tiger wasn’t ready, not yet at least.  Golf fans had become quite accustomed to seeing him win, so watching all of those loses seemed strange.

US Open Golf Tournament Facts
The U.S. Open golf tournament is among the four golf major tournaments.  It is run by the United States Golf Association, one of golf’s two governing bodies — the other being the Royal and Ancient Golf Club of St Andrews.  This highly important tournament takes place every year in June,making it the second major on the world golf calender after The Masters.  The US Open comes just before the British Open. The tournament has been played each year since 1895.
